1. We click Things and add a new thing titled:

2. We add a useful summary including information people might search for.
3. We add a low resolution thumbnail (fair use) image of the front of the CD.
It is likely fair use square thumbnails can be 180x180 pixels.
4. We add a new thing for each of the eight tracks.

5. We add strings from the album to each track and back.

A named performance involves one or more artists at a location, at a date and time.
A performance may appear on many albums, on different media, and as streams.
No two performances are the same.
A performance may have strings leading to the following things:
Albums - Collections of performances.
Artists - Individuals or groups, or an AI.
Location - A recording studio or theatre or festival or other venue.
Composition - A named piece of music with or without lyrics.
Movies - Films making use of the performance.

Suppliers - Outlets providing copies of the performance.
Albums are named collections of performances.
Albums may be distributed on physical mediums like CDs, or via streams.
An album may contain hundreds of performances.
It may contain all the performances from a double or triple vinyl album.
An album with two performances may represent a vinyl single with A and B sides.
An album may have strings leading to the following things:

Record Company - A business entity managing the creation and distribution of performances.
CDs, memory sticks, vinyls, tapes and streams - Are mediums able to hold an album and use its name.

Compositions are pieces of music with or without lyrics.
A composition may be performed by different artists.
A composition may have strings leading to the following things:
Composer - The music and composition creator.
Lyricist - The lyrics creator.
Lyrics - A title and collection of words used in a composition.
Performances - Involving one or more artists at a location at a date and time.
Score - Music notation representing a composition.
Strings make up ordered lists about the above things.
Archivist handles entertainment metadata but does not currently store or play the media itself.
As a fair use guide not more than one line of lyrics can be uploaded without the author's permission.
1. On the top navigation bar click [Things], then [New].
2. The Title, subtitle and summary fields are searchable.
3. Enter the album name in the title field. There is probably no subtitle.
4. Enter a descriptive summary.
5. Choose the album category: People/Entertainment/Music
6. Alter a few affinities or accept those given by the category.
7. Enter some tags which are also used in searches.
8. Click [Submit] to store the new album data.
9. You can optionally add image and text features on the thing show page.
Ensure you have sufficient permissions from the copyright owners or the law to upload the data.
Only the author of a thing, or an admin, can edit, update, and or delete it.
Each thing has a forum where members can discuss content issues with the author.
A thing may become outdated, and or abandoned, but not deleted by the author.
Another member may take the lead by creating and updating an identically named thing.
The new thing will automatically receive an instance number making it unique.
Strings can then be arranged around the new thing.
Over time the abandoned thing will be liked less and disliked more till it is deleted.
We will add one new thing for each performance starting with the first.
1. On the top navigation bar click [Things] then [New].
2. This presents you with a few standard fields to fill.
3. Enter the performance name in the Title field. For example: Black Dog
Black Dog happens to be the first performance on the album: Led Zeppelin 4
The subtitle and summary are optional but searchable by visitors.
The summary is useful for noting the location used. and those present.
4. Choose the category: People/Entertainment/Music.
5. Alter the provided affinities to reflect the feel of the music.
6. Add some tags to help people find it.
7. Click [Submit] to store the new performance.
8. Find the next performance and continue at line 1 above.
A string represents a relationship between two things.
An album can have a string to each performance.
A performance can have a string to each supporting album.
So two strings are required for two things with a two way relationship.
1. Locate the album (thing) and note its unique code.
2. Locate the first performance (thing) and note its unique code.
3. On the top navigation bar click [Strings] then [New].
4. Enter the code of the album (source object).
5. Enter the code of the performance (destination object).
6. Enter the title as the performance number and name in the form.

The title usually describes the destination object.
Numbers 1 to 9, 01 to 99, or 001 to 999 will ensure an ordered list.
This numbering allows tracks to appear in sequence under albums.
7. Choose the category: People/Entertainment/Music.
8. Alter the provided affinities to reflect the feel of the performance.
9. Add some tags to help people find it.
10. Click [Submit] to store the new string.
11. Continue adding strings for each performance until the last.
The string list on the album page should show an ordered list of performances.
Click [⮞] in a string to go to that performance page.
Tracks hold performances from an album stored on a CD.
1. Search for the album thing using the name of the CD.
2. Click [⯈] to show the album page.
3. On the album page click [Strings] to go to the list of performances.
4. Click [⮞] on a string to go to that performance page.

2. Look at the performance page strings to find the list of albums.
